Center for Men's Health: Male Reproduction and Sexual Health

Male Reproduction

Approximately 15% of couples attempting to conceive a baby have difficulty in achieving pregnancy. Infertility is a complex problem with many possible causes.  The male partner has a factor in the cause of infertility in half of couples with infertility.  For this reason, it is important for men, as well as the women, to be evaluated when there is difficulty getting pregnant.  New medical, surgical, and assisted reproductive techniques have increased the potential for couples to have successful pregnancy.

Urology Consultants Center for Male Reproduction and Sexual Health focuses on evaluation and treatment of male factor fertility issues.  Dr. Goldenberg is fellowship trained in Male Reproduction and Sexual Medicine.  He has extensive training and experience with medical treatment and microsurgical operative techniques, including varicocele ligation and vasectomy reversal.

Sexual Medicine

Sexual health is an important part of a man’s quality of life, overall health, and relationships.  More than half of men above the age of 40 have some degree of erectile dysfunction (ED) and at least another twenty percent of men have ejaculatory dysfunction.   However, many men with sexual dysfunction do not approach their doctors about these issues.  Many factors may contribute to sexual dysfunction including low Testosterone (low T), medical issues such as diabetes or high blood pressure, previous medical or surgical procedures, neurologic, psychological, or anatomic issues.  Additionally, low Testosterone can influence sex drive, concentration, weight, and possible even life expectancy. Advances in the treatment of sexual medicine have allowed many men to regain their sexual lives and improve their quality of life.

Urology Consultants Center for Men’s Health specializes in the care of male sexual medicine. Dr. Goldenberg is fellowship trained in Male Reproduction and Sexual Medicine.  He has extensive training and experience with medical, pharmacologic, and surgical treatment including Peyronie’s disease, Prosthetic surgery, and Testosterone Replacement.
